Frequently asked questions:
Do you accept health insurance?
Hope Chiropractic is not “in network” with any insurance providers. We can provide you with a SuperBill which has all of the information needed for you to send to your insurance provider for reimbursement. We are happy to provide any additional documentation for insurance upon request.
The decision to not be in-network with insurance was made for several reasons. Co-pays for chiropractic services are often $60 or more per visit. The number of visits covered is typically limited to a specific number of visits per year and are only able to be used when a condition is deemed severe enough to receive treatment. Most insurance carriers will also only cover specific services that are not always necessary or the most effective option. Our mission to provide high-quality care based specifically on the needs of the patient is our top priority.
Do you accept Medicare?
Hope Chiropractic is a “non-participating” Medicare provider. This means the patient is responsible for paying for the full cost of treatment at the time of service. This fee amount is pre-determined by Medicare each year. We will provide the patient with a SuperBill to submit to Medicare for reimbursement and any additional documentation they may request. Please note that Medicare only covers Chiropractic Manipulative Treatment (CMT) for the spine when deemed medically necessary. Fees for therapeutic services other than spinal manipulations and services done as maintenance treatment will not be covered by Medicare under any chiropractic provider.
If you have a Medicare Advantage plan (Part C) or a Medicare Supplement Plan, your plan may allow for more coverage than traditional Medicare plans. Please contact your insurance carrier and ask about out-of-network benefits to determine your coverage.
Are you a Community Care provider for Veterans Affairs (VA)?
Hope Chiropractic is on the waitlist to become a community care provider for the VA through Optum. There are limits to the numbers of providers in each region, and unfortunately, there is no timeline given for when they will increase the number of providers.
Will I receive x-rays on my first visit?
Our focus is on the function of the joints rather than just the alignment. Most conditions are diagnosed through orthopedic and neurological evaluations, without the need for unnecessary x-rays. If we believe that x-rays or advanced imaging (such as an MRI) may be necessary, we can arrange for the images to be taken by one of the local radiologists. If you have any previous imaging, feel free to bring it to your appointment, and we will review it.
Do I need to pre-pay for my treatment plan?
No, we do not require any pre-paid plans or packages. We know that healing is not a linear process and individuals need flexibility in their treatment plans. You will be given a treatment plan recommendation at the start of your care, and it will be re-evaluated regularly to fit your needs and goals. Our online scheduling option makes it easy to book appointments that work for you.
Do you offer Acupuncture or Massage Therapy services?
We do not currently offer these services, but may be looking to add them at a future date.
Are prices for adults and children different?
All of our prices are the same for adults and children.
